and date your application. We will accept only applications completed online.
2.
Valid United States Passport
You have to MAIL us your current valid and
signed
US passport. Passport should be valid at least SIX (6) months after your intended arrival to India. Also, you should make sure you have at least
ONE
completely blank page for visas in your passport. Amendment pages (pages 22, 23 and 24) do not count.
If your passport is about to expire or needs more pages, please obtain
new

to Your passport.
3.
TWO Passport-Style Photographs
They must be 2x2 inches in size.
We always recommend using a professional photographer to avoid delays.

Additional $10 Photo Printing FEE will be added to your request. NOTE:
Photos must be high resolution, clear, and provide proper contrast and white background for it to be accepted by the consulate.
4.
Business Letter (for business visas)
Please provide a business letter, which includes: (

The name of a reference/visiting firm in India.
Detailed explanation of the nature of business to be performed as well as duration of stay.
Company guarantee of financial responsibility for all travel expenses incurred by you.
The letter must be on company letterhead.
5.
Sponsor Letter From Organization in India (for business visas)
A letter from the sponsoring organization in India on company letterhead indicating nature of applicant's business, probable duration of stay, state the validity of visa applied for (1 Year, 5 Year or 10 Year), places and organizations to be visited and also a guarantee to meet maintenance expenses etc. should accompany the application.
6.
Non-US Passport Holders (proof of your legal status in the USA)
Please provide a proof of your legal status in the USA (i.e. copy of your green card (front and back), valid visa, I-20, IAP-66, etc.)
7.
NON-US Passport Holders:
Complete an Additional Non-Residence Form

8.
Copy of Driver's License
Please provide a current copy of your Driver’s License or State ID.
9.
Emergency/Rush service shipping advice.
We encourage you to use FedEx "FIRST AM OVERNIGHT" Service for Emergency/Rush orders, so we could submit your application same day. If you use other Morning delivery and the package comes late, we won't be able to submit your order on the same day.

*BORN IN INDIA?*
If you were born India and formerly had Indian citizenship, please submit ORIGINAL Indian passport or copy of Previous Indian visa. Without these documents, your application will not be accepted by the embassy.
RUSH SERVICE
Rush service is available when consular workload permit and we cannot guarantee it at all times.
SPECIAL NOTE:
If you’re a JOURNALIST, PASTOR or associated with a religious group, or planning to visit INDIA for a conference, you’re required to complete and sign an additional affidavit form. Additional paperwork might be required. PLEASE CONTACT US FOR DETAILS.
FLIGHT/VESSEL CREW VISAS:
India consulate does not issue a
Crew
type visas. Instead, a regular
Business
type visa will be issued to individual crew members. Please follow instructions for regular Business visa.
TRANSFER OF VALID VISA:
Current visa can either be transferred from the expired/damaged passport to the new passport by submitting the
new visa application form
, both passports (new and old) and paying $38 transfer fee. Alternatively, you can travel with both the expired passport containing the valid visa and the new/current passport by keeping them together.
NON-US PASSPORT HOLDERS:
If you're non-US passport holder, you'll pay
$20 less in consular fees
